The best couples apps in 2026

Written by the people who make one of them, which is a reason to check it rather than trust it. Every figure below is sourced, and four of the six recommendations are not us.

If you want the safest bet: Paired

The category leader. Founded 2019, ~$7.3M raised, over 100,000 couples using it daily, with a Professor of Sociology and Intimacy as Chief Relationships Officer. Daily questions with a research-based note on why each one helps, quizzes, expert audio, courses. iOS and Android. Its documented weakness is depth on conflict and intimacy.

If the relationship is in real trouble: Lasting

Self-guided couples counselling, built on decades of marriage research and acquired by Talkspace in 2020. Closest thing in the category to structured therapy, with the clinical credibility to match. Product innovation has been slower since the acquisition.

If the problem is specifically sex: Coral

Built for sexual wellness first — lessons, guided exercises and an encrypted thread of prompts couples do together. Small user base and no funding round in about six years, so weigh longevity, but the positioning is genuine.

If you want free and simple: Love Nudge or the Gottman Card Decks

Both free. Love Nudge is built directly on the 5 Love Languages with Gary Chapman; the Gottman Card Decks are conversation prompts from the best-known name in couples research. Neither builds a daily habit, and neither costs anything — if you are not sure you want a subscription, start here.

If the hard parts are the point: Nearvo

Ours. One question a day, answered separately and revealed together, free permanently rather than for a trial. Conflict repair and consent-gated intimacy are pillars rather than add-ons. iOS only, and brand new — which is the honest reason to pick something above instead if a track record matters to you.

How to choose in one line

  • Not sure yet, want to spend nothing: Love Nudge or Gottman Card Decks.
  • Want the proven daily habit: Paired.
  • Struggling, want structure: Lasting.
  • Intimacy is the gap: Coral, or Nearvo if you want it alongside everything else.
  • Conflict is the gap: Nearvo.
  • One of you is on Android: not Nearvo, yet.
